Is there anything better than a high protein grab and go snack? NOPE. Try my vanilla flaxseed bites below:
- 1 cup vanilla whey protein powder
- 1/2 cup ground flaxseed
- 3 tbsp natural peanut butter
- 3 tbps agave nectar
- 1/2 cup flaked almonds
- 4 tbsp water
Directions: Place all of the ingredients in a bowl and mix!
When people ask me,” Which seeds are the best for you?” I reply, “All of them”. Chia, flax, and hemp seeds all offer different nutrients. Like most foods, you need a consume a variety to get a variety of nutrients. Flaxseeds need to be ground to get their nutritional benefits, such as omega 3 fatty acids and phytochemicals that have been linked to the prevention of certain cancers. So get grinding!
