It’s about balance . . .
I need something sweet everyday. It can be a square of chocolate, a spoonful of peanut butter, or even a teaspoon of honey in my tea. Knowing about my sweet tooth issue, I always try to have homemade sweets already made in the fridge. This way, I am setting myself up with a better environment; one where I can make better choices. Take a look in your kitchen cupboards. Ask yourself the following questions:
  • Do you have foods in your kitchen that you know are not good for you? Can you throw some of these away?
  • Have you thought about making a healthier, homemade options for your favourite sweets? (In my case, I was replacing Nutella)
  • Have you thought about not buying these foods?
My kitchen cupboard rule:  Don’t buy foods that make you feel guilty after eating them.
