Recipe (makes 4 glasses):

  • 4 carrots (peeled)
  • 1/2 lemon (with peel)
  • 1 small piece of ginger
  • 2 cups of water
  • 2 cups of ice
  • 1 tetra box of coconut water (330 ml)

I recently bought a Vitamix blender, and it has changed my life! It can blend anything and everything. All I did, was put all of the ingredients in the blender, and blended them for about 1 minute!

It’s about balance . . .

I’m going to be honest with you, I have always been “anti-fruit juice”. I always ask people, “Would you eat 3 mangoes in one sitting?”, they respond, “No.” To which I reply, “Then why would you drink them?”. Most people don’t realize how much sugar or calories they are actually taking in when they are consuming fruit juice. Vegetable juice is a different story. If you have trouble getting in your vegetables, drinking them may be an option for you to the nutrients they offer without the sugar. Some vegetable juices can still contain loads of milk, fruit, and sugar, so if you make your own, you will be better off. Happy juicing!
