It’s about balance . . .

Yes, I am aware this recipe calls for soy sauce, oyster sauce, and some sugar. I know these aren’t the healthiest ingredients, but I do not cook with them on a daily basis, nor do I think that one meal will greatly impact my overall health. Everyone has an opinion about food, so I will be honest with you about mine. I try my best to eat whole foods, have a least two different colours on my plate at each meal, and I try to eat slowly and mindfully. That’s it.

I believe in balance. I believe in eating in the moment and with awareness. I don’t count calories. I don’t own a scale. Most of foods do not have nutrition labels on them because they are whole.  Eating whole foods make me feel full of light and energy. As soon as I have a meal where I have eaten too much or have overdone it with certain foods (i.e chocolate), I feel lousy. It’s really at simple as that.
